Another Mothers Day

Another card with a similar theme - I guess it could be mothers day or a birthday. The hearts and letters are cut using my cuttlebug, the leave and stem are sizzix. Papers are Basic Grey.

More Mothers Day

These were such good fun to make! Used the Prima Flowers and my Cuttlebug.

Prima Bucket of Blooms - WOWEEE!

Woweee indeed! You can't really see the scale of this but this "Bucket of Blooms" is 5" high with a diameter of 6 inches. Fantastic value for money and such an amazing range of prima blooms! I am well impressed!!

At last - an easter card!

You know when something has just been driving you crazy and you have a total mental block about it?? Well this was me with an easter card. Finally, I'm fairly happy! This was made with images from PC Crafter - always a good option when you're stuck! I like it cause it's bright and cheery!

Totally Shocked!!

This has nothing to do with card making... or stamping... or scrapbooking!! I've been adding a new play list of 50's and 60's music which I love - and it makes me smile. I'll probably revert to my old playlist soon. But, what is it they say?? Variety is the Spice of life!! And in the course of updating my playlist I made a very surprising (to me!!) discovery! I love all kinds of music... I go by the rule.. "if I like it... I like it!"...

And whilst searching for some good 50's and 60's tracks I decided to add some Paul Anka.. and I found one called "Smells like teen spirit"... now, I am a Nirvana fan.. and this seemed just to coincidental!! And... totally amazed as I am.. Nirvana covered Paul Anka!! This might come as no surprise to you all, but it did to me! Just goes to prove... your parents are without doubt the COOLEST and TRENDIEST people you will ever be lucky enough to meet.. and whatever it is.. they did it first!

As I edge ever closer to 40 (in a matter of weeks) and with a 3 year old of my own I find this both AMAZING and REASSURING!

and it makes me SMILE!

I've been tagged!

Hey! I've been tagged by my SBS buddy Wendy!
Here are the rules!

Link to the person that tagged you { Wendy } and post the rules on your blog. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog; we all want to know them. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here goes!

1. I'm an only child. I've never seen this as a bad thing, infact I feel I prefer this to the thought of having silblings.
2. I'm allergic to cats.. but I love them! We have a black cat - she's old - and spoiled! I sneeze and my eyes swell up if I touch her then my face!
3. The only piercings I have are my ears - being a child of the 60's and a teen ager in the 80's I have 3 holes in one and 2 in the other. I did one of them myself (in a rebelious moment - I realise how stupid this was!!)
4. I love to sing karaoke - but I'm not very good!
5. I've met several members of the Royal Family including: Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Princess Diana and Prince Philip. I've also met Margaret Thatcher.
6. My little toes are funny - they curl under - always have, just like my dads.
7. I hate the sea. I love to look at it but being in it fills me with totally unreasonable fear. I'm not too keen on beaches either - don't like the sand!

So now the hard part... who to tag!! I tag Tonya, Jackie, Katie, Lulu, Sharni & Clair, Natalie and Lyzzy.

Fruity

Another scrapbook page - this one does have a title - Fruity! I love to colours of Basic Grey - Two Scoops!

Another Scrapbook Page

I don't get much time to scrapbook - but I seem to have lost my card making mojo so I thought I would try and not totally waste my precious free time! This scrapbook page is made using K&Co Wild Saffron. I'm stuck for wording so I'm going to leave it for now - hopefully something will come to me!!

Made for a little two year old boy - I need to add his name - the card is freestanding like an M from the side and the images are 3d. Do you think it works ok?

New Blogs I've found!

Think I will make a regular feature about this and post all the links to new blogs I find!! There are some amazing talents out there!

I will try to do this regularly. Every day I find fantastic sites. What a small place the world wide web is to bring us all so close together!

Happy Birthday Linda

A special birthday card made for a friend of a work colleague - I hope she likes it!

Oh no! Trying to be good!

Why did I have to look?? I know it's that time of the year when loads of new goodies come out of CHA. But why, oh why, did I have to look and see the 5 new ranges from Basic Grey! I just love their stuff, and the new ranges look fantastic!
  • Archaic
  • Boxer
  • Sugared
  • Sultry
  • Cupcake
I've just got to have them! I just have no will power!

SBS9 Card Sketch Challenge - February

This is my entry for the card sketch challenge - this is the first of these challenges and it's been set by Suzann http://www.suzannssmallworld.blogspot.com/
I thought I would stick with the romance theme in February. This is the first time I've used this stamp - by Karen Stolper, from American Art Stamps. It's quite cute!
Hope you like it!

Sugar Nellie - Hamish

My second Sugar Nellie stamp - Hamish fixing tractor. Another cute one - very easy to colour! The papers are K&Co.
Made this card quite quickly using the same layout as the last one. It's quite nice to get quick results sometimes! I probably don't use my cuttlebug embossing folders as much as I should. They are so easy to work with and the effects are brilliant!

American Art Stamps - Karen Stolper

Something a wee bit different for me. I got three of these stamps from American Art Stamps in the US - they are all by Karen Stolper. I think they're really cute - and so easy to colour! This one was coloured using Marvy Pens.
